we will begin this morning with meteorologist carol erickson who joins with us eyewitness weather. carol, good morning. >> good morning to you, todd. we have some clouds. it has been running cooler than normal. we will keep that trending go to day f you like a cooler august you will love the temperatures today and probably tomorrow as well. we do have have some rain showers, and you might just be able to pick up those wet roads if you look at the the lights there, our neighborhood weathernet work and you can see outside whitefield elementary school some traffic going by and you are encountering showers there. temperature of 68 degrees this morning. you can see on storm scan three we have those showers through the allentown and reading areas and points north of that. so there is precipitation out there, generally a quarter of an inch or less will be the amounts that anybody is going to be getting out of this but lets get a closer view here and you can see some towns, pottstown picking up those showers that are also in there as well. we will be watching for these showers abe a chance

here's carol erickson's with today's forecast. just say i'm in wildwood and i want to get to the beach, hypothetically, am i going to get any beach time? >> well, the beach is there despite the weather, the beach is always there. you can go to the beach, would you like what you see above you. >> not this morning probably not unless you like walking on the beach in rain which a lot of people do and it is a lot of fun but notice on storm scan three diana, if you are heading to anywhere along the the shore we have showers there now. we have seen them earlier this morning and we have seen enough of them that there is an urban and small street flood advisory for shore areas because once again like yesterday we have pick up one to 2 inches of rain in these spots but just like yesterday we're also seeing clearing and driving moving in. look at this, look at how this rain starts to shrink. it will pull away from the shore areas as we go through the morning hours. not to say we won't find a chance of picking up a shower of that but general

let's head over to meteorologist, carol erickson in the eyewitness weather center. good morning to you. >> good morning to you, liz. a lot of even numbers out there. 8:00, 07 degrees, and we're going to eight a. so there go the even numbers. we are looking at some pretty nice weather out there, as we move on through the rest of the day, not stellar, but still fairly nice moving through the rest of the afternoon, we do start with some clouds, however, center city philadelphia, notice that, billy penn, he's keeping a watchful ion what will be the changes to the pnb bank sign, as we move through the morning, we head out now to the allentown, or rather the reading area. notice, that the roads, if you look far enough into the distance, you'll and able to see couple every roads, they're wet. but no puddles on the playground. that sort of limits how much moisture they've seen up there. you can see on storm scan3, we've seen some showers moving on through that area. that's going to be continuing as we move through the morning, they'll mover on through. not heavy but out the

let's check in with meteorologist, carol erickson in the weather center. busy morning for you yet again? >> yes, almost fall-like feel this morning, temperatures in the 60s, you find the rain out there, not used to finding rain, first thing in the morning on the weekend. we may have seen some last sunday morning, but generally there is summer has been great, every single weekend, so, we're going to be looking for a change today. but a change is back and forth. let me show you what we're dealing with out there right now, you can see, 65 degrees, that's the temperature out in ardmore, notice the wet road that they have there, as well, outside of lower merion high school. here is the wide view, on storm scan3, also, the good news, look to the south, that's where you start to see the drying coming in. so once this rain, the bulk of it, moves past delaware, notice, that everything else seems to be out in the ocean at this point. so, i think we will be looking for some drying slots to move in. here we go, we zoom in little bit closer. heaviest rain has been over

and let's check in with meteorologist carol erickson. good morning to you. >> good morning liz, wealth ride n so people will probably be surprised at just the amount of water just sitting on the roads this morning so it will blow very much any kind of early errands that you have. let me take you out show you what it looks like. i will show you down in rehoboth beach. the laps over the last couple of hours see some of the showers that we've been dealing with, and there you go. so the temperatures are cool, winds out of the northeast about 14 miles an hour there. storm scan3 this is wide look at it. but you can see, there is a lot of moisture associated with this system. we zoom into the philadelphia area closer along to the shore areas and you can see the shore primarily is where you are finding a lot of the showers and some of the heavier showers, as women moving past cape may now moving right along the shore line. we move up to the north little bit, atlantic city, seeing heavier rain at the present time. our temperatures are cool. they'
