for that we sends things taught meteorologist carol erickson, live for us all morning long in the mobile weather lab. good morning carol. >> if it it went groundhog day, everything should be groundhog day. still dealing with another storm, different one though and at this point in this storm, started to snow, and had transitioned over to rain temperatures are key and a lot of the temperatures are coming up above the freezing mark, lower 30's, bub not the low 30's, even in the reading area, now, in reading we've watched the temperatures go from 29 degrees about midnight to almost the freezing mark, still getting freezing rain, just about 3:00 in the morning, but now we're transitioning over to rain, fog, mist, as the temperatures through red rag coming to up about 34 degrees. we're on the schuylkill expressway. i think the biggest issue that we've found here as the temperatures are higher is the standing water you want to talk about hydroplaning, that's entirely possible to do. we're traveling about 45 miles an hour, suggested speed. we see people flying past us, like we're standing still

carol erickson in the mobile weather lab, right now we find her in chester county. good morning carol. >> yes, we are on 422 north coventry township. headed along the roads are little worse out here, little bit more slipping, because the temperatures are getting closer and closer to the freezing mark. but still generally compared to what we could be finding it is not the same problem that we saw or could be finding. reason i mention later on, because a lot colder air is going to be coming in here. and as it does so, this afternoon, and this evening weaver concerns about the flash freeze, very strong winds bringing some colder air little later this afternoon if those winds don't dry these roads out anything that's left behind can just instantly freeze we've seen this kind of problem before. so just watch it. >> not just the morning commute which might be little bit easier in some spots especially, say south of reading or maybe even reading south gone up to 35 degrees, but allen to ill is it still looking at temperatures right at the freezing mark, last observation out

and i believe we will be sending things out to meteorologist, carol erickson, yes, out with the cbs-3 mobile weather lab with us again this morning. hi carol. >> well, katie, you know, the rain coming down, normally if it were just a rainstorm we won't be on with this. but, the problem is and as we all know, it is those temperatures. and we are looking in the mobile weather lab in falls township route one north through pennsylvania, headed to trenton. it is 28 degrees. i'm watching this rain come down. and i am hoping that new jersey dot and del dot and penndot and everybody else got out and did what they needed to do which was to put some brine or something down. because with these temperatures, now, i think the only good news out of this is you can see the traffic moving along just fine, at this point. the fact it got to 43 degrees through the trenton area yesterday, and it was 51 in philadelphia. there will be some residual help from that, just with the ground having absorbed some of the warmer temperatures. but that doesn't last forever. and as this rain comes down, and the column

for that we send things out to carol erickson live for us all morning long with the cbs-3 mobile weatherood morning carol. high everybody, starting to see lit precipitation really nothing through the philadelphia area. with these temperatures above the freezing mark, we're going to be headed up to trenton though and it is 30 degrees up there at the airport in trenton, and the official call from the airport unknown precipitation. i think when you start to see temperatures of course that are below the freezing mark, you will be dealing with at least chance of picking up some freezing rain. now, a loft areas the morning commute may be better than the evening commute. so, let me show you on our weather graphic, at this point, what we're spec. and this morning many areas above freezing, but not all. so areas to the north where you are likely to find colder temperatures of covers, be particularly careful. then goes into the afternoon and evening some of this air can be starting to cool, as this colder air starts to filter down. that's when you really want to watch for some of the change-over.
