it's a little inland around wilmington, north carolina. when it moves offshore that will suck down some cold air. meantime, six to 12 tonight between now and say midnight, then midnight to 6:00 a.m. another six to eight. two to four inches in the morning. and probably another one to two in the afternoon. now, if you live east of town, the snow is going to taper off last. it may snow everywhere or flurry everywhere most of tomorrow night, but in terms of accumulating we think it's going to shut off between 6:00 and 8:00 on saturday night. that said, blizzard conditions tonight, and that's what we're really kind of concerned about. satellite picture, radar combined, there's the area of snow, but notice the area of green here, which is rain in the pink is a mix. we are going to watch this as it starts to move farther to the north. again, the area of low pressure is going to hug that north carolina coast, just to the northeast of wilmington, and until it moves a little further northeast, the winds are going to have more of an easterly componen

that's not going to happen until tomorrow when it moves to the east off the south carolina coast and hits gulf stream waters and intensifies. let's go to the widespread warning. i show you a larger picture and show you the scope through all of maryland and southern pennsylvania and most of verge. and cease those areas, those are blizzard warns. this is going to be a large storm. think about the one we had on the 19th, add gustier winds and possibly of a few more inches and that's what you could expect. those warnings in effect at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. the storm willntensify as it moves up the coast and will go to sea, thankfully and as it does, it'll keep us in the northern flank for long period of time, meaning high impact snowfall through most of the area. this is a time for the metro area, it will begin late morning and flurries earlier but we'ringing 11:00 a.m. and spreads through the region and the snow will get heavier and the winds stronger and the snow piles up quickly, sometimes overnight, developing up to two inches an hour. before it is done, i think 16 to 20 inches
