>> reporter: the santa clara county sheriff's department arrested dennis' parents ralph and carolyn flynn in november charging them with multiple counts of child abuse. dennis has filed a civil lawsuit alleging that his adoption was a conspiracy by parents who use them as their sexual slaves subjecting him to the most out rage just grotesque and pain -- outrageous, grotesque and painful acts of sexual abuse. >> when he was adopted by ralph and carolyn flynn, he truly felt that this was going to be his second chance at life. he was thrown into this sick household where he was abused every day. >> reporter: after enduring the abuse for more than a decade, dennis says he finally found the courage to speak out confiding in a friend who, in turn, notified the sheriff's department. >> i was tired of feeling pain and anger. i was tired. i did not want to fight anymore. i did not want to do what ralph was asking me to do anymore. >> reporter: dennis' father remains behind bars. his mother is out on a half million dollars bond and for now he is still living in the los gatos home where he grew up.

from a russian orphanage at nine years old by ralph flynn, a marketing executive, and his wife carolyn flynn, a high tech executive. but dennis says life at the los gatos home was filled as his lawsuit states outrageous, grotesque and painful acts of sexual abuse. >> for a long time, they told me that what they did was right. what they did was out of love. and i had to relearn what love really is. >> reporter: after two investigations by the sheriff's office, the parents were charged in january with 44 criminal counts. they have pled not guilty. dennis's attorneys say despite the first stalled investigation, they don't think the sheriff's office did anything wrong in handling the case. the parents have now put their multimillion dollar home up for sale. >> there's no settlement offer that they could make that would be worthwhile. we're going to take every penny they own. >> it's still a journey to me to heal. and to bring justice. >> reporter: now, the adoptive mother carolyn is free on bail while the father is still being held on $2.5 million bail. he declined our requests for an interview.
