king is survived by his children and one of them is joining us today in the audience. rebecca is here with us today. rebecca, can you raise your hand? carolyn his daughter and the roy junior, his son emma five grandchildren , michael, via, joseph, leah, and the roy keane the third, eight great-grandchildren who all are undoubtedly inspired by his dedication and his love for the people in the city and county of san francisco. mr. king was a true warrior. he was a great man and he will be missed. the next in memoriam i have is for another san francisco hero from the western addition, mr. james jerome perry was born on april 3 1917 in texas. in 1939 esther perry's family moved to san francisco reenlisted in the military and served in world war ii. after his service to the united states army mr. perry returned to san francisco where he met and married his wife of 65 years, olivia clark, until her death until 2009. stir. worked various jobs to support his family, eventually becoming the janitorial supervisor at uc hospital the board of education where he actually retired. after his retirement mr. perry helped his son and daughter-in-law develop

i have to thank my colleagues on the democratic side: liz king and garry leeland creighton green, john clark jonathan epstein, carolyn shuta ozga guz lesa and liz king, once again. let me thank the floor staff. i've come to appreciate more than i ever knew how vital a role they play on both sides of the aisle and i thank them for what they've done. finally, this bill has some extraordinarily good provisions in it. many of them are tough hard, path-breaking provisions that are there because the chairman decided he was going to go all in in many different aspects from acquisition to troop support efforts to incorporating provisions at the commission on pay and retirement, all those things. and i commend him for that. it's just that i think i have to stand and say we've got to fix this issue with respect to the underpinning fundamental budget approach which says we'll let b.c.a. stand for every other agency but we'll be able to exploit in a way this o.c.o. exception, and we'll use it. i think that's not the path we want to pursue. with that, and again with my thanks to the chairman, i would yield the floor. the presidin
