specifically, i want to commend congresswoman carolyn maloney, who serves on the subcommittee who servesnd also serves with me on the financial services committee. we often don't see eye to eye on matters of public policy, but in this instance, we collaborate and work together to take the legislation that i introduced to improve it. now, carolyn had a number of concerns about fraud and a number of investor protection ideas. a very balanced bill that we were able to pass, not just on the committee, but on house floor. and before it came to a vote on the house floor, president obama put forward an administrative policy that he endorsed and would sign the bill. due to a new senators who misinterpreted the spirit and promise, the senate inserted imperfect, we will discolor imperfect provisions. they jeopardize the vitality of equity-based funded and sec rulemaking. the sec considers comments regarding company, the crown funding title of the j.o.b.s. act, it is clear that the 11th hour changes have unnecessarily made sections of the j.o.b.s. act and ambiguous and inconsistent. today's hearing
