i'm carolyn tyler. let's start with the weather. here is our meteorologist, frances dinglasan. >> hi, carolyn. i wanted to show you this shot, we're seeing blue skies, a and sunny conditions in parts of bay area. we started off the morning pretty gray and still chance of coastal drizzle. by lunchtime it will be definitely sunny inland and warming up to the upper 70s and sea breeze kicks in but a lot of sunshine for most everyone, temperatures in the 06's along the coast and then up to 80s inland and then clear skies tonight. we have a lot of activities for the 4th of july holiday. go. >> carolyn: developing news in contra costa where they are looking for the cause of a house fire. in martinez. firefighters were called just after 11:00 last night and found flames shooting as high as 50 feet in the high. they got the fire in control about 30 minutes later. one person had had to be hospitalized with breathing problems. the kitchen and garage areas collapsed. >> it's illegal now for restaurants to serve foie gras. the new law took affect

. >>> good morning, i'm carolyn tyler, thanks for joining us. let's start with a look at the weather with our meteorologist, frances dinglasan. >>> good morning. another nice day. dealing with low clouds and fog once again. beautiful live shot from emeryville looking towards san francisco, low coastal clouds, we are starting off with temperatures in the 50s. even getting up into the 70s in some locations, especially by lunchtime mostly sunny for the interior areas. cloudy along the coast, pretty much all day today. that's where you will find 60s even this afternoon. mid 80s in the interior valleys. by 7:00 this evening, mainly clear, still cloudy along the coast. we have a warm-up on its way. i'll have details coming up. >>> thousands of runners are still in the streets of san francisco this morning as part of the annual san francisco marathon. even though the winners have already crossed the finish line. more than 8,000 are running or walking the full course of 26.2 miles. another 14,000 are said to be participating in one of two half marathons

only carolyn tyler. t's get started with a quick first look at the weather from our meteorologist lisa argen. >> hi, carolyn. you see the fog behind you and from vollmer peak a pretty site. we have the clear sky inland but low fog and clouds have allowed for mist and drizzle if you are headed over the golden gate bridge. it is a gray start and it will be for most areas it will about 10:00. then the fog burns back. it will be banked up along the shoreline, allowing for a stronger sea breeze, up to 20 miles an hour today. so that will bring the numbers down just a bit. we are talking about upper 50s to low 60s for the noontime hours in our inland valleys and then by the afternoon a return to some 90s but it's low 90s for concord and danville today. but we will be looking at a cooler day at our coast. the big question is are we going to see the heat come back? i'll let you know in a little bit. carolyn. >> we begin with breaking news in san mateo where southbound highway 101 is open again a fatal multi-car c
