and the maze and the eastshore freeway that's actually about 18 minutes right now heading from the carquinezhat is the latest from here in the "timesaver traffic" center. lawrence and i were talking very moist in the studio today. >> that is very true. the dew points running very high and we are seeing a lot of fog outside right now. and it's moist enough that we have a lot of drizzle showing up out toward the coastline so watch out for that. the roadways are very slick if you are headed in that direction. by the afternoon going to become mostly sunny. i'll tell you what it's going to turn out to be a warmer day outside but some big changes coming our way as we head in toward the holiday weekend. high pressure going to strengthen just enough to bring us some slightly warmer temperatures for today maybe some of those numbers spiking into the 90s in some of the valleys. you will see that in the interior valleys today 92 degrees in sacramento. about 100 degrees in fresno. smoke of course in the high country from the fires there and the temperatures going to be a little warmer too. we have some

coming down the eastshore freeway, 19 minutes between the carquinez bridge to the maze. was a huge hotspot yesterday. we had a couple of different crashes but so far, so good this morning's commute. if you are heading through the macarthur maze this is a live look at westbound 24ous of the caldecott tunnel -- out of the caldecott tunnel. so far no metering lights on the bay bridge toll plaza and no big delays. here's a live look at the westbound 580 commute. no impact on drive time still 15 minutes between the altamont pass and the dublin interchange. once you get closer to hopyard and 680, things look good all the way out towards the castro valley y. here's a live look at the nimitz freeway. 880 in oakland, like i said, that overnight roadwork has been picked up approaching downtown oakland so now it's really smooth. you can probably make a little bit of the taillights out towards downtown oakland past the coliseum. and commuting farther south if you are continuing into milpitas, the silicon valley commute this is westbound 237, you can see that drive time at the bottom

so the low clouds out there are being right through the carquinez strait and giving us strong winds.to 25 miles an hour already so slow warming over the weekend. pinpoint forecast if you are headed out the bay area, 75 at tahoe, 92 at fresno, back in the bay area we'll be looking at numbers in the mid-70s for the south bay. out in the east bay up to 79 in pittsburg so as juliette was saying, east bay you're loving it. sunshine after the morning clouds and a pleasant day. you're going to love next week, too. temperatures warm into the mid- 80s. weekend looks nice but low clouds in the morning. there's weather. here's traffic. >> those wet roads may have caused a few problems on the roadways earlier this morning. so here's the travel time on westbound 580. it is up to 37 minutes and the problem is right there. it's all towards the dublin interchange. so unfortunately, those right lanes remain blocked on westbound 580 before you reach 680. and unfortunately they cannot clear it fast enough for these commuters because the backups continue to grow. we have gridlock from as far back as vas

carquinez bridge as you travel away toward the north bay. we have a crash reported there.here was a car swerving around and changing lanes. the latest i can gather from chp, no specifics right now. the car involved doing the hitting is off the freeway now and on city streets. they're watching for that. we'll let you know if we have anything further to report. activity at the toll plaza. also slowing we saw unrelated here. this is highway 29. it's causing slowdowns through the city. no activity as far as chp reports or construction planned. we have seen this in the mornings overall as the traffic starts to build. we'll track that as well. highway 4 the bypass at marsh creek. the slowing is not caused by the crash, just fewer cars out there. smooth drive right now. out of the altamont pass we have the build. speeds come down out of the 205 and 580 mernl. close to speed or at speed through livermore where the dublin interchange is. northbound routes looking really good. 101, 87 and 280, you're at the limit. the limit 165, a reminder. palo alto shows a smooth drive north all t

the nimitz and down the eastshore freeway, 15 minutes or so from the carquinez bridge to the maze. so if you are crossing the san mateo bridge, this is a live look closer towards the toll plaza. so as you can see, both directions moving at the limit this morning while traffic is heavier than usual you can still get by without much of a delay. golden gate bridge another big alternate we'll be watching this morning. got the new all-electronic tolls if you are not used to driving the golden gate bridge, just a heads up. you can no longer pay crash, just drive through. richmond/san rafael bridge also looks good but it could take you an hour to get the long way around from the east bay to cross both of those bridges to finally get into san francisco. so that drive time still in the clear as well, about 14 minutes between 580 and the golden gate bridge toll plaza. the fog may slow you down actually more than the traffic right now. visibility is a little bit of an issue coming from marin county. 237 may be most folks will be using this to cross into the san francisco area or at least to g
