carquinez bridge, the macarthur maze has taken an hour. normally on a good day, it's 20 minutes to do a dry. now it's taking three times as much to drive this stretch, getting out to the bay bridge toll plaza, when you get to the toll plaza, you will be waiting there for another 40 minutes. are you sure you want to do this? you may not have a choice getting into san francisco. it stopped raining which will help the commute out. there was an earlier accident on the bridge. that's why it's very slow. the east bay is a mess. 580 and 680. we had earlier problems to blame. 580 is backed up to the altamont past. 608 backed up to pleasanton and fremont. 880 slows before 238. the san mateo bridge is slow and there's standing water in many spots. today is one of those days -- i don't want to not mention, highway 24 is a mess as you drive out of pleasant hill over to orinda. 7:04. back to the desk. >> all right, thank you, sal. >>> people who were still cleaning up from last week's storm, now they are having to deal with more problems. tara moriarty

in the meantime, the drive time is already up to 35 minutes from the carquinez bridge to the maze. can wait it out a little bit you may consider doing that. there is no delay at the bay bridge toll plaza. all clear and the sign of metering lights even though it is -- no sign of the metering lights own though it's past the time when they switch them off. there are though delays through the livermore valley. westbound 580 is clear through the altamont pass. there's still high wind advisories though posted for westbound 580, 205, if you are coming out of the tracy area, highway 17 through the santa cruz mountains and just about all of your bridges around the bay area. here's a live look coming into dublin-pleasanton. all that good-looking sensor all that green sensor you saw there through the livermore valley, they are continuing westbound into pleasanton. it's 14 minutes from the altamont pass to 680 and the dublin interchange. here's another high wind advisory that's posted around the bay area. a little difficult to see. but caltrans has the warning signs up. san mateo bridge bay br

sometimes the train goes by and around the bend is crockett and then the carquinez bridge and san pablo bay. it's a cold, foggy, gray day. but we're getting a little bit of a break from some of the rain here. i tell you, it's chilly here. bundle up. overall, we had rain last night and also early their morning, that system has moved on. last night's system didn't do much. left .25 to about .23 of rain. but the last couple of systems have been pretty strong with a couple of inches of rain. last night we got a break but it still rained. another system is on the way. it looks to be the last one in the series, then i think the pattern will change as we head towards saturday and sunday. we will get some cloudy skies. there are a few breaks in the clouds. but not many here. i see a little bit on the vallejo hills but that's about it. overall, look for increasing clouds to continue to tonight into tomorrow and then it looks like a rainy morning commute on friday. this system looks to have a little bit more energy to the north bay. i would not be surprised if we got .50 to .75. after that there

carquinez bridge 22 minutes. it looks okay on our sensors now from the incline to the tunnel.and there's been no accidents so except for the really two -- highway 17 is the big issue and the spinout in livermore. overall we have seen okay traffic this morning as far as the number of incident. beyond the peninsula, looks clear on 101 and 280, everything for the most part at the speed limit. but if you can give yourself some extra time, that sure would help you out with the morning commute. make sure you don't cause a hot spot there on the roads. 13 minutes between 880 and 101. this is the san mateo bridge. it's just past the toll plaza. taillights are fine over the high-rise. westbound 237, clear now in milpitas. no major problems around most of the san jose freeways. 280, 101, guadalupe parkway. and if you want to use mass transit, i know ace train was a huge headache yesterday. everything is back on track today. no delays. and bart systemwide everything looks fine there. if anything changes when you hit the roads, remember kcbs, our radio partner, when you hit the roads at 10
