and carrie cordero.omeone that was white house counsel and cooperated in a congressional investigation. do you agree trump is acting like a tyrant? like a king? >> he absolutely is, i agree with the chairman. we returned to the imperial presidency. i must say that it started with nixon. we had it with bush and cheney, and we're back there again. these people feel that the law doesn't really apply to them, so they march to their own drummer. i hope nadler doesn't let up because there's no reason. he has the full power and authority of the constitution and many supreme court rulings to back him up. >> a lot of people have been dancing around whether this is a constitutional crisis, a number of democrats claim it is, the white house stonewalling, judiciary chairman saying the president wanting to be king. when does it reach that threshold for you, when court rulings are ignored? >> yeah, i think if they were to exhaust their opportunities in court, i think here's what i think the problem is that's going on.

. >> joining me now is cnn legal analyst carrie cordero and ken cuccinelli. carrie, is this a constitutional crisis or a political crisis? >> i don't think we're at constitutional crisis yet. what we're certainly at is congress is on one end, they're requesting a lot of different information, and i think one of the challenges they're having is prioritizing and articulating at least to the public what is the most important information that they're trying to obtain from the executive branch that the executive branch isn't providing? but i still think there's a lot of wrangling that still can take place, whether it's litigation, whether it's more subpoenas, whether it's more threats of contempt before we actually are in a constitutional crisis. >> ken, do you agree with that? >> i would tend to agree with carrie. it's easy to throw the term "constitutional crisis" around. it gets thrown around -- >> it's funny, nadler said that, he actually said it's overused, but this is it. >> yeah, i don't think this is it at all. i think that you've got fighting going on. i m
