a little light shower south and west in carroll county. the heavier thunderstorms have pushed up into pennsylvania. in fact, we'll put this into motion of how the storms were rolling through. very strong thunderstorms that had gusty winds in them. the national weather service said the storm activity in that part of baltimore county was most likely straight-line winds. when you get a good strong downburst of wind that could create downing trees and power lines and things like that. still to determine the damage factor there. looking at these storms that moved through the area dropping heavy amounts of rain. strong lightning. gusty winds in excess of 60 miles an hour. that activity now has pushed up north of philadelphia and it looks like we have 1 cell towards lancaster, that will continue to move west of oxford. we're starting to see breaks in the clouds, but they were very gusty thunderstorms. back to the west things are quieting down. showers over parts of virginia. looks like we have to deal with the damage that is out there. talking ab
