and susan carroll. a senior scholar, co-author of the book a seat at the table. a congresswoman's perspective on why presence matters. let's begin with you david perry. >> this book right here, begins with the line that said this book is about women that went to my grandmothers funeral. that's the first line. my mother's last work which came out two days ago came decades to get to that first line. in the 1980s my mother elizabeth perry turned her attention to the biography of belle moscowitz. one of the most important and powerful women in political history in the few decades of the 20 century. people knew about her but she destroyed her papers. it took my mother a long time to date through haystacks and look for references to put together the story in her own time, and context. so she went from being the famous mrs m. to belle moskowitz. it was a multi layer network of the women that moved in political life. it was just the rise and the conversation of a search of databases that allowed her to put it together and put together this a book about these amazing wome
