talking about those tornadoes that we had, we had one ef-0 tore neighed down in carroll county and two ef-1 tornadoes in frederick county. as you saw, they caused a lot of damage. in frederick county, the one that had the winds from 90 to 100 miles per hour was 125 yards wide with a path of two and a half miles. the second one, the same. this second tornado formed just to the right of the first tornado. 100 yards wide and one mile long. the rain today is not going to help it at l. know that people are really under the gun, he is special well the storms that have just moved through this morning. temperatures in the 70s pretty much everywhere. we are going to be a little cooler today as the front approaches. winds not that bad right now, fairly light, but we've had some wind gusts across the area. that front will move through into the course of today. expect to see heavy rainfall at times as well as we're talking some severe thunderstorms very possible as that storm system moves its way act doctors our region, so we're going to definitely be keeping our eyes to the sky. an unsettled week

it turns out, the damage to homes in carroll county was caused by a tornado. the national weather service says an ef-0 swept through the area, winds as high as 85 miles per hour lifted portions of rooftops, busted out windows and even damaged cars. >> three or four different portions of the roof got blown away and then water came in, which flooded the top floor of the house. the top wall started to get wet and heavy and they started to cave in. >> reporter: siding was ripped off the home and tree limbs covered the yard. now contractors are helping families pick up the pieces. >> we usually go through room by room, inventory every piece. there's quite a few pieces in this home. the contractors will have to come in and dry the house out, repair the roof, dry wall, paint. >> reporter: the storm left a line of destruction extending a mile long. it is the worst this town has seen since 1996 when a tornado moved through. evan lives nearby. his mother called him in during the storm. >> she was flipping out. she said look, the house is shaking, the windows are rattlin
