let's bring in carter braxton worth of worth charting. about 33-year lows relative to the dollar, and yet -- we'll see i chart in a second, but where there's been emerging strength is right at a former reference point. and my thinking is, improvement ahead. let's look at the charts there are three of them and they're identical so, here you have a chart with no annotations, no judgments, and of course, you see that spike, which is, of course, extreme weakness in 2022, that's in october, and then the strength and then we weakened all the way back to that weakness is, of course, up in the chart. and now if we put some lines on, you'll see that just of late, we got right to that october 2022 level, and have started to go down in the chart, which is strengthening in the yen if you want to call it a double top or not let's put some arrows in, you see it the lines draw themselves. it is like a pinball machine, hitting aoff the lines to the penny, to the penny. and further down on the chart, which is more strength, even to the 142, 143 level, we s

carter braxton worth is here there were so many particularly in retail., right >> bonanza let's get right to it. there are so many ways to interpret each but macy's of course, is the headline it was up 32% for the week? yeah stock was $73. it's $14 this is a gift if you're long to get out. let's look at ross ross just a textbook example of what a breakout is good relative strength, bullish price line correlation i think this goes plenty higher. close at 120, applied for almost $135 and then finally, gap hmm a 30% move almost to 32, identical to macy's where has macy's was impetuous, impulsive, rash, this is developmental. this bottomed in may i think it has all the elements of a proper bottom versus a knee jerk and i would be on the long side here. >> we have to do our jobs here, carter you did say to sell macy's ahead of earnings -- >> sell more. >> those who followed your advice, missed. >> sell now. this is not -- i mean, i would sell more, get more short. >> all right let's get the regionals here the kre up 9% this week, closed above the 200 day movin

carter braxton worth of worth charting. we prompted carter to look at that spread since, that is the premise of the trade that tim and karen both have, in terms of being in target. karen, what are you thinking here? >> just in terms of that spread? >> yeah. >> i mean, we talked a lot about how walmart's business is different, where the grocery business -- they're really good at that, not a huge margin business, and for target, they have that business, it's smaller, but it's taking away -- the consumer changes are making lower margin because they're not buying as many as the sort of home goods and lifestyle and apparent and things like that. i've been wrong for awhile thinking, all right, this is about as low as target's going to go, but this divergence between the multiple of the two, i do think, is really, really stretched, and so that is a pairs trade i think is really interesting. >> and i'm not in that spread right now, i'm actually still long some walmart -- a lot less walmart and started to initiate a position in targe
