i want to start with a cartoon.lly died two years of pancreatic cancer at the age of 61 there are a number of political cartoons and papers paying tribute to her. most of them would show a consolation with her initials or they would be a woman symbol or whatever but this is the one that i really liked. it's a teenage girl's bedroom and on the walls are pictures of space shuttles and rocketships and on the shelves are physics textbooks. it's a surprisingly neat bedroom for a teenage girl. she's sitting there with her ponytail and looking at the tv monitor and on the tv -- excuse me the computer monitor and on the computer monitor is sally's obituary. there's a picture of sally, sally ride 1951 to 2012. standing behind her is her mom and her mom jeans. the girl is talking to her mom and what she is saying, this is the caption. when she is saying his way, are you saying there was a time when there weren't any women astronauts? yes indeed. this is really what sally story is about and this is why she is so important. sal
