cassandra, do you still like it, quickly, on monsanto? >> still like monsanto. we would buy it here. because the long trend remains in place. population in the world is going to continue to grow, and that's the driver because we need seed technology. liz: we need food. okay. let us go straight here and say that there are people who still believe the fiscal cliff is coming, and europe is still a problem, and there's so much -- and i want to remain conservative yet pick sticks -- pick stocks still. how do you go about doing that? >> you pull out a few hairs every morning. [laughter] yes we still have those issues in the backdrop, but you have to look domestically at what is going on, and we seem to have found a bottom in real estate. and so that is now for us a long trend going forward in place. liz: let's go macro and say do you like anything outside of the united states? or do you feel like you want to just nest around here? >> no, we do like things that have exposure outside the united states, but it is not necessarily their hugest percentage of revenue generat

>> if cassandra can come back and address the public notice to the neighbors one more time. >> absolutely, i wanted to show again the list of neighborhood organizations that were contacted, i did reach out to all neighborhood groups, this was also put in the marina times over the last couple of year, we also worked with supervisor ferrell's office on the outreach plan, we feel like we did an incredible amount of outreach on this project and there may be people that fall through the cracks, we did post on site as well so neighbors could see that weren't part of these neighborhood groups, that they were part of this project as well. >> that was both for the rfp process as well as the selection? >> i was not the project manager at the teem for the selection and the rfp, however, i know that a tremendous amount of outreach was put in place for those approval processes as well. >> commissioner, i think it's worth noting that this is the sixth public meeting before this commission on the topic. there were commission meetings, publicly noticed commission meetings bh the rfp was first issued and

i think the hope has to be that sandy isn't short for cassandra and that it's another warning that weore. absolutely people now have seen that you can in fact have the worst-case scenario, which was a flooding of the lower manhattan and i think any city along the eastern sea board has ask-to-ask themselves what would happen if hurricane sandy hit us? >> suarez: well, how do we price risk, then, into the decisions we make both publicly and privately. should there with b places in new jersey, in new york, where insurance companies say "we don't want to pay for you to rebuild right there"? where the cost of doing so becomes higher and maybe prohibitive for some people? >> there probably should be, yes, because the alternative is we keep enticing people to place more and more of their value, more and more of their wealth in fragile co-systems or fragile areas of the environment if we don't give them the proper price signal on risk. so somehow we have to find a way to get the state out of being the insurer of last resort and get some sort of a more functioning or imitation of a functioning
