the castro valley number is tied to an answering service now. we've left a message this morning for company officials through that service. we were told the company is not operating or open again until june 6. we've learned from the mercury news one family in particular used to call a house along at the same time drive their home until the san bruno explosion. then they connected with pg&e's assistance to a contractor to help rebuild. that contractor is vanderbilt construction. now the contractor may no longer be in business. at least five families received an e-mail friday from vanderbilt. the construction company explained it was closing until june 6th to reshuffle resources and determine whether they needed to close its doors for good. it was pg&e who first provided a list of general contractors to families needing to rebuild. vanderbilt contractors was on that list. now pg&e said it will work with owners on a case by case basis. we tried contacting the family this morning. i want to bring you back out live because this is their former home a
