today catherine bosley is getting answers about who melissa brinker was. >> reporter: this is one of those crimes that leave you shaking your head and leaves somebody that knew melissa brinker nothing but wonderful things to say about her. this happened monday night at this little neighborhood bar. police are told four men walked in, ordered drinks and moments later two of them pulled out floor. that's when 44-year-old missy brinker took a big chance. the bartender locked herself in a little back room to call police for help but only seconds later they broke down the door and shot her. many of her friends are regulars there that say they already miss her so much. >> she was happy all of the time. she loved everybody. she was smiling, singing, dancing behind the bar. >> i've known her about a year and, you know, the first time you seen her, you know automatically liked her. she's just so friendly and every time we come in she knew our names and right away -- just -- just everyone -- everyone loved her. >> reporter: she made people feel special. before she made a break for the back roo
