"all these kind hearted people were opening their hearts...firemen on the line. she preyed on that."only after detectives say she collected the donated items at drop off locations throughout south county...san clemente residents on facebook took notice. they warned people to stop donating.they posted these photos of other schemes they say bemis pulled off all while running a wedding planning business with a po box in san clemente. take a look at this picture of a baby shower church acquaintances threw her after she told them she lost her husband and other children to a horrific car crash. sheriffs deputies confirmed that bemis pretended to be pregnant, even using a fake baby bump. she even had these photos taken. then there are these pictures facebook friends say she posted pretending to be the birth mother of the children she was only nannying. detectives served a search warrant on her apartment and garages. they found at least 11 thousand dollars in donated items. lt. michael peters/orange county sheriff's dept. "in some cases people would go to walmart spend eight hundred and buy goods and drop them off." that was stacey butler reporting. no charges have been filed against bemis as of now. (grant) starting in the east bay-- where the contra costa county d-a's office is warning of a scam involving costco. officials say residents have been receiving phone calls from people pretending to be from costco. the caller asks the victims to take a survey that asks for their personal information... and in exchange.. they will receive a 500-dollar travel voucher, costco cash cards, or a reduced travel package. the callers then use that information to steal the victims' identity. costco says it has no involvement in the calls... and and the d-a's office is asking anyone who receives a call to contact them. (grant) a one-year-old boy who was missing since yesterday-- has been found safe. this is a picture of hasani chandler. he was reported missing after he was last seen in hayward at a mcdonald's parking lot yesterday afternoon. oakland police were told... that is when hasani was dropped off with a baby sitter. police tweeted around 9:30-- saying that hasani has been found. the circumstances of his disappearance are not known at this time. (vicki) in the north bay... crews continue to gain the upper hand on the wildfire burning in napa county. the "snell" fire has burned burned more than 24-hundred acres and it is 50-percent contained tonight. mandatory evacuations are lifted-- but fire crews are telling residents to be ready to leave again at a moments notice. right now firefighters are busy putting out hotspots and trimming trees and branches near the fire to keep it from growing.
