i'm catherine heenan and fork and why and i'm pam moore today was the start of a new chapter in the effort to get bay area residents protected from covid. >>one of 2 just to federally run vaccination sites in the entire country open their gaze today at the oakland coliseum the other at the california state university of los angeles. several government agencies, including fema and the office of emergency services are helping operate these sites and most importantly the vaccine doses are coming directly from the federal government. this supply that comes here. >>is specific to this site that is not taken away from allocation that alameda county or any other community is already counting on for their own operation. >>the goal at the coliseum site will be to administer 6,000 doses every day for at least the next 2 months if not longer. organizers say they are also working with the open a's and will continue vaccinations at the coliseum parking lot even with season begins on april the first. governor newsome he oversaw the opening of the second mass vaccination site in los angeles today. >>he s
