. >>> let's get the latest from meteorologist cecily tynan tonight. cecily. >> and jim, cape may got 3-inches of snow from this morning's system. now we have a.m. pieca piece ofy that's moving through sparking some snow squalls. it's kind of like the air mass when you have the pop-up thunderstorms. we had one that moved through philadelphia at 4 o'clock. this is exiting northern lbi. there are a couple more waiting in the wings, not quite as intense but this is one area of snow squalls moving through king of prussia right now crossing 422, 202, heading towards malvern and radnor right now, heading towards the schuylkill expressway. it's moving to the southeast at about 20 miles per hour, so they're very fast moving. this is other batch is moving through reading right now crossing 422. they're not all that intense but what they do very quickly is drop a coating to even al littla littlebit more than a in. blackwood reporting a coating to an inch of snow. they also reduce the visibility as they move through. so, this is what top expect this evening. isol

let's go to cecily tynan. >> that's a big question.robably won't get to the poconos or the lehigh valley. the shore really getting the brunt of it. storm tracker6 live double scan getting a little bit of a break in the action after last night's coating to 3-inches, 1.9-inches officially in philadelphia but our next round of snow is already in the works. right now winds not that strong at about 10 miles per hour. but the temperature low enough that the wind chill makes it feel like 21 in philadelphia, feels like 16 in reading, 14 in lancaster. eight in the poconos and the wind chills will be dropping substantially through the weekend. now satellite6 along with action radar showing we're already beginning to see some clouds in advance of this system. the actual low pressure is developing south of the florida panhandle. you can kind of see how that moisture, the thunderstorms beginning to develop so that means this band of moisture already pretty impressive. it's actually going to expand as that storm system works to the north and the eas

meteorologist cecily tynan live at the big board with details. hey, cecily. >> hi, monica. we started off the day with bright sunshine. the clouds are here now and double scan live tracking some spotty rain showers moving across western and central pennsylvania. a wider view showing that the actual center of the storm t-the low pressure is near kansas city and like most storms this season, this will be tracking up to our north and west. so, what that will do is put us in the warm sector of the storm so snow lovers this is going to be a rain event not a snow event. the problem, though, is that some areas, some of our northern counties could get a touch of freezing rain. so, a freezing rain advisory has been posted from 1 o'clock this morning until 10 o'clock for berks county, for lehigh valley, northampton county and the poconos. this is where we could get some areas of patchy ice on untreated surfaces. this is where temperatures will be dropping near freezing. not expecting a lot of rain. so, this is not a major ice storm, just some spotty light rain but overnight tonight i
