rapid weakening is projected here. but helene, again, far from over with those impacts. storm surge for a spot like cedart. that beats what they had with vidalia, which was just last year. that was a category three hurricane upon arrival. this would make helene the strongest hurricane the big bend region has seen, i believe, ever apalachee. we're sitting at 2.6 feet of storm surge. that surge not quite yet over. we're still maxing out here, projected at a just over 11 feet that's predicted friday at 12 a.m. so right about now, for a spot like cedar key that will enter into the lower tide cycles, not going to do much in terms of completely eradicating the storm surge, but it's not going to make it any worse. this gasoline pulls farther towards the north, so it looks like it is now category two. so rapid weakening, as i said. but hurricane warnings still extend well into georgia, a spot like macon, tifton, georgia, under hurricane warnings at this point in time. tropical storm warnings, though, extend into an area like south carolina and portions of far eastern alabama as well. we've had mass evacuations i
