cederick jackson. i'm the president of the black leadership forum here in san francisco. i'd like to lend my voice to supporting reparations for the african-american community in san francisco. i even suggest that the city redirect the money not only from the police department, but also other criminal justice departments that have historically been part of the punishment not the empowerment of the community. that money can go to the empowerment of our community through not only economic revitalization concepts in our major neighborhoods, but it can also go towards the healing. and we have to understand we are not in a post post-racial american. we are 73 million strong against what we're talking about now in america. not we, but there are 73 million people in america who don't agree with you. that's a sizable amount. 47%, to be exact. we have to do what is right now to start the healing of our community. there is no such thing as post-traumatic when it comes to the black community. this is a traumatic stress syndrome that we experience every day. reparations are the only
