katy joins us live in center city. what can we expect? what pro-actively is the city doing in this situation? >> we know there's been a heat warning issued by the national weather service. around this time every morning when we're going to experience excessive heat the national weather service will have a call with members of the philadelphia health department and issue a heat warning which they did. it goes into effect at noon today. what can you expect if you live in and around philadelphia? the city may extend the hours during which the public libraries and r exc centers are open places that double as cooling centers where there's air conditioning and shelter from the sun. we could also see a code red. water would be handed out. and the philadelphia hot line for aging will open up as well. in some cases a nurse would go to a person's home if they're in extreme conditions. coming up at 4:30 there's a place in philadelphia where seniors can go for support and relief from the heat we'll be experiencing in just a few hour. we'll take you th
