had the chance to visit a number of them today and specifically the infectious disease group through the nih. we had a number of briefings from the centers of disease control by doctor anne schuchat helping on our efforts. as she said our aggressive containment strategy here in the united states has been working. it is responsible for the low level of cases that we have so far. officials at the cdc and the national health and coordinating with other federal officials tended to be working around the clock. the administration is making sure state and local officials have all the resources they need to respond. doctor anne schuchat said theur health-care system can our businesses and communities and schools all have action plans. senators have a number of briefings from officials at the centers for disease control and the national institutes of health. they are t working on ways to identify the virus and test ways to treat people who are infected by the virus. they are working on quarantines in the vaccine and that is what they should be doing. this is a massive nationwide undertaking. i've gone to meetings on this since it was first noted around the beginnin
