the south wind is coming across central maryland. winds are a bit variable around the state. front country yesterday. all it did really in the nature of the culture is typically bring us colder temperatures. it brought us cooler temperatures, but it's not very cold up there. the front moved on through. it's sitting off the coast of virginia for the most part. moving on out of here, but behind it temperatures dropping as high pressure builds in an brings us some of the cooler air. imagine being near chicago. even around the great lakes, it only rained where the lake of facts may be because the temperatures are so mild it is not below freezing around parts of lake michigan and up around the upper peninsula. high pressure now still in control of our forecast because of the changes in the temperatures we may see a light shower or so tomorrow as clouds move in. we have a low pressure system very close to us moving across the south. it's really not going to bring much by way of rain. the next rainmaker comes tuesday into wednesday. wednesday primarily as the day for rain. that syst

interesting, as i was pointing out, 46 at the beach. 50 in the mountains, in the 30s through central maryland where we never saw as much as a peek of sunshine today. look at the visibility reports. less than a half mile, one third of a mile in baltimore and one third of a mile in wilmington. this corridor absolutely fogged in, really dry. you see on the eastern shore we have cleared out 10-mile visibility. so 10-miles is normal. temperatures never getting much above 40 but still enough to melt things. not nearly has much concern for -- as much concern for ice. we saw that brief clearing, but the real clearing is out to the west. they're sitting crystal clear. that weather is moving our way. we're looking at a pretty fast pattern that will push this boundary out to sea overnight into the day tomorrow and by say 10:00, 11:00, we should really begin to see improvement, clearing skies will mean temperatures will rise into the low 50s. tomorrow you can probably go golfing in the afternoon. there will be a lot of mud. wednesday we'll go with upper 40s. tonight down to 36, patchy drizzle. widespread

calm winds in central maryland. a southerly flow from washington, d.c.ntually we will see uniform shift to the south. that's going to bring in milder air. that mild air never leaves our side throughout the week. with several waves of low pressure across the region. one front tonight, that will drive the temperatures back just a little bit. you're seeing the low that brought us the rainyard, it is moving up into new england. we have a front that will move through here tonight. that will knock our temperatures back a little bit. then another front bringing colder in tomorrow night. that knocks our temperatures back going into monday. with that one, we could see light snow showers, especially in the higher elevations on sunday and monday. with that mild hair right to our, right on our doorstep to our south. the cooler air stays in place. as they move through, the milder air kicks back in and heading into the week, temperatures for two to three days around 60 degrees. and our sunrise is at 7:17. sunset is at 5:23 the days are getting longer. the average temp

this is what i'm talking about, calm readings around central maryland.winds at all and south oakland. the temperatures in the 40s and 50s. that is bringing in the milder air. high pressure in control of our forecast. look where all of the skies are clear around most of the lower -- 48. even around the jet stream. all of the cold air is up into canada. we normally see snow. this is all rain. because the temperatures as far up as michigan and the u.p. in michigan are in the mild range. above freezing and everyone for for the most part across the country is above their normal highs. mild scare stays with us for today. a front comes through tomorrow. it will drop our temperatures back. the wind will pick up a little bit. we only go from the 60 degree range to the 50 degree range. in perspective, our normal high is 41. so, we are above that for there next few days. sunset today is at 5:00. south winds will keep us up around the 62 degree range today. partly cloudy skies tonight. 43 degrees. tomorrow, 49 or 50 degrees. cooler with clouds and sun. 46 on monday.

arctic blast sliding across new york state and a bubble of that cold air will slide aloft through central marylandt the prime time this evening when we get one disturbance out of the great lakes and you can see the streamers really carrying the snow showers on in from lake heron and lake erie and passing near altoona and south of state college. it could be clipping outside the mountains of chambersburg and harrisburg as well. we will pull it back a little wider. want to highlight this disturbance. a formation sft storm we initially talked about last week some computer models are given us a shot of getting the first slam winter. it's happening too far to the south and passing well out into the atlantic to impact us other than increasing the winds and yes one band of clouds trying to pass to the west this morning. we will get another surge of energy this afternoon and between 3 and 8 getting a surge of snow showers. otherwise, we clear things out and get another round to build in with the cold air tomorrow and modify things as we head toward the weekend. today, again, the chance of flurries this mor
