we got to 66 today in central park. overnight tonight, we'll see areas of fog develop, the pattern, very spring-like throughout the entire tri-state. it's mostly dry on sunday. you'll see that fog early. i will pinpoint the areas most likely to see a shower on sunday. and more record high-temperatures are likely during the day on sunday. right now it is down to 48 degrees in walpack. but that's really the exception. 57 in hopatcong and in mine hill. 52 in belvedere. 66 in farmingdale. we are getting a bit of the ocean influence there. down to 48 in monticello. that's an area likely to see fog also along the water where you are likely to see fog tonight. on storm tracker live radar, you can see there's plenty of clouds in place. a few sprinkles and showers. most of them are to the north of the immediate metro area. so the five boroughs and the counties that surround that are likely to stay dry. there's a warm front that has lifted to the north that will continue its progress northward as we head through the overnight hou

the air is crisp and cooler but still way above average. 58 degrees right now in central park. the average is 42, 43. we're way above that even now that it's cooled down just a bit. these are the highs and most of these occurred during the day. both records set this afternoon. but central park's high of 68 surpasses the previous record of 67 set in the wee hours of just past 2:00 in the morning. most of them were set this morning, especially north ask west of the city. it was an incredible air mass that came through after southerly winds. now the winds are north to northwest, and they've been nearly 40 miles an hour. the winds will relax later on this evening. no record highs are expected for the rest of this week. in fact, we'll feel real december weather this weekend, with actual temperatures being right around the averages. so 41 for the high on sunday. that's enough to button up. it slowly creeps back up again early next week. in the meantime, it's 52 in reading, shelton at 53. 50s in montauk, long branch at 54 so still pretty mild. the wind gusts still pretty strong. many
