this is a fire on the side of highway 101, in san francisco at the cesar chavez street off-ramp. the fire broke out at around 7.30, just this morning, according to chp, there are houses in the area as well as a homeless encampment. we've reached out to the fire department for more details and we'll update you as soon as we learn more. and now to developing news. police are investigating 2 separate bay area freeway shootings, including one that injured 8 year-old boy. the child was shot on eastbound 5.80, in oakland last night. this is near the grand and harrison street exits by lake merritt. police say people into car started shooting at each other. the boy was caught in the crossfire. police have not released suspect descriptions yet. >> he was transported by his mother to highland hospital. and later. travel to and was transported to oakland children's hospital. the 2 suspect vehicles involved and this are described as a dark gray suv room colored suv. no word yet on the child's condition this morning, we have reached out to chp for more information and we'll keep you updated.
