chad myers is tracking all of it. he joins us tonight. what's the latest chad? >> we have and still do anderson have large and violent tornadoes at threes maybe at fours. i've seen video of these storms on the ground. many of them through farmland but some have hit cities. they are moving out of northern illinois into southern wisconsin right now. bon bonner ins lake. east of rock ford take cover. harvard area there. these have been large wedged tornadoes, wind speeds of 130 to 150 miles per hour. here they are now east of rockford moving to the northeast. grand prairie hit very hard by a tornado and also just to the west of rochelle hit hard. we know there are damage and injuries in that area. farther to the south, more weather popping up. these storms are not dying down. in fact they're still getting stronger as we talk right now. so down to the southern part of illinois all the way down toward longview texas. we have had tornadoes on the ground. there's the storm near woodstock, not the town itself. rockford, rotation to the east of you farther south to the e

let's get straight to meteorologist chad myers with the forecast. he way from kansas down through texas, almost parts of oklahoma that's where the big storm will be today. the big story is warm weather in the middle east and snow in the rockies. like two feet of snow. part of -- this is spring. cold on one side warm on the other. look at the rain we've already had down across the south for the past couple of days and more rain coming. even a tornado warning yesterday for new orleans. no report of any damage but they did have hail there. here we go for later on today. the storms fire here. the snow's in the rockies. the rain's in the southeast. and it's still pretty nice in the northeast. not as nice tomorrow because we start to see some rain coming in but that's the precursor to warm air coming in to the northeast. temperatures will be pushing 80 in a lot of the big cities by saturday. still snowing tomorrow into friday all the way through friday night rockies. here comes the rain and warm front and warmer air. it's going to be a very nice week. d.c.
