supervisor haney, did you want to say anything -- oh, supervisor walton. >> thank you, chair.anted to make a couple of statements. one of the things that is very oevident and should resonate tht current law was created in 1872 and i know donald trump wishes that we still lived in 1872, but the reality of it is, we are so overdue for the law to reflect the realities of today and more importantly making sure that we continue to focus on saving lives. and like supervisor haney stated, we cannot erase the past and bring back the lives that have been lost. but we can protect all of us for the future. so we have to be very clear about when use of force can be administered and is necessary. this has to be clearly and universally defined so there are to grey areas. without social media, the heightened incidents of police killings would still be a secret, at least to a lot of those unaffected and complicit because a lot of us have felt and experienced this for a very long time. but now that we know with evidence where everyone can clearly see and everyone can clearly acknowledge that i
