thanks, chair haney. >> chair: okay. is there a sense of -- this is a similar question, but is there a sense of the total loss here to the city? >> yeah. i think it's probably close to $30 million all told. but as i said earlier, this was all part of our application to the federal government that has helped us out with this type of revenue loss. >> chair: $30 million? >> yes. chair haney, that's over the three-year period, so that includes the amount that we had forgiven when the pandemic originally started. so that's the end of the fiscal year 2021 and a portion of fiscal year 22. so it's the total amount over that complete period with this contract amendment. and as b.l.a. and ms. stein have noted, clear channel makes no money on this contract and they have never made any money on this contract. so, it's a little bit of a different situation. the decision here was really to maintain the workforce and ensure we could continue to maintain the shelters and provide the shelters to san franciscans especially as we opened up

chair haney? >> supervisor haney: i appreciate you calling this hearing, supervisor ronen. there's couple of things that i like to know that i really like the wellness calls and the wellness team -- after seeing today's presentation around it, it's particularly concerning. the fact that supervisor ronen said, most individuals are people with behavioral health needs. creating another team for it that doesn't start until probably next year. feels like it's leaving a huge gap. that's one that i would like to have -- [indiscernible] we have paramedics and ambulances and fire trucks that respond all the time everyday all day. [indiscernible] it's how every interaction that we have. creating a new team, we need that new team in order to do anything with overdoses. not only the fact there are budget teams some don't feel adequate when they are around. that can create gaps and then they have to have a timeline. some won't be here for another 6 months or 8 months. good afternoon chair haney, committee members, supervisor safai, mar, ronen and walton. office of small business has been operating as the front line for small businesses. will continue to do so. we will be tracking businesses requests and needs and as commercial eviction moratorium comes to a close at the end of of this month for particularly for the tier 1 businesses, we will be fielding those calls and communicating them with the office of small business on how best to service those needs. we assisted over 7500 businesses. we have 10 tags that we iced to track the business needs and request specific to covid-19. real estate assistance guidance is one of the tags that we use. during this time frame, we had 408 businesses specifically request assistance in this area. the tag covers assistance in negotiating rent reduction with an existing lease, information and questions around the commercial eviction moratorium and each of these responses of each individual business we coordinated with oewd and the commercial eviction. in addition, we did have landlords and lawyers con

. >> thank you, chair haney and committee members. i know the hour is late and you all have been at this all day. i want to thank you for agreeing to hear this item on your busy agenda today. this was introduced in may following the publication of the controllers' nine-month budget update, which showed higher than expected revenues from prop i've. the intention at the time was to allocate the unanticipated revenue in the current fiscal year to the programmes understood by san francisco voters to be funded by popeye, namely rent relief and permanently affordable social housing. today i am requesting amendments that have been circulated to committee members before this hearing to update the legislation to include the latest projected revenue for the upcoming fiscal year. in brief, the reamendments are as follows to change the source of the funds and the full amount of funds from property taxes to fiscal cliff reserves and to change the total amount from $26.7 million to $128.3 million to reflect the projected amount of revenue from prop

. >> good morning, chair haney and commissioners. i have two quick updates today.south gate realignment be project. is about 50% complete. progressing very well on time and within budget in a complex environment. the project is to be completed by summer next year. be advised as far as members of the public. starting july 6 through october 3 we will reconstruct the bicycle and pedestrian path connection. we will continue underneath the bridge toward the intersection and there will be aba standards. during the three months restriction for access beyond vista point. we will be re-opening there after. please do check for website to see about any potential detours or timelines for re-opening. the other item to update you on. the point is open. we are pleased to have amended our agreement with the toll authority and tida to ensure this venue will continue to be available for the public, and we do hope that visitors come to take advantage of the beautiful views at the top of the island. >> thank you. any public comment on this item? >> no public comment. >> public comment
