police reported the 19 year-old died after he was shot to death in the 4500 block of south champaign no one is in custody and 12 other people have been shot in the city since midnight last night a man and woman were shot around for in the morning the woman hit in the thigh and the man in the back, no one was arrested in any of the 12th shootings. chicago sought a total of 506 homicides in 2012 which is an increase of almost 16% from the years before. gary mccarthy helped make an arrest in the austin neighborhood. all around 130 this morning he helped officers pull over a vehicle in the area. the police department says that mccarthy goes on patrols pretty frequently and so does every member of the command staff. it wasn't mccarthy's first arrest. calls for legalizing same-sex marriage are picking up with our live outside holy name cathedral. francis cardinal george is making a very hot topic in catholic churches as well he wants parishioners to track down the local law makers to make sure that cybill unions do not come to illinois. the church is weighing in with no time to waste. past

here, she can put all of her liquor bottles in here, notice we even got orange and green on the champaignes so we're doing great. color is subjective. everybody has their favorite color. jae is crazy about green and orange but my fear was that there's too much just green and just orange in the room it's going to be retro 70's but not in the good way. so i wanted to bring in some extra color. i got this painting i guess it is. it's almost sculptural. its got all different levels. i got this at z gallery. and what i love about it, is its definitely got the green and the orange but it's also got this rainbow of other colors, which is going to help up tie in extra accessories and textiles throughout the room. so i'm thinking we'll probably hang this painting over the television because here's the deal, we've got that bright green accent wall so we need to carry a little bit of color to the walls that are still white. i think this is going to be the thing. thank god for bob from concord assembly. every week he helps us out so much and this week is no exception. we had a ton of furniture. pretty

i grew up northeast of here in champaign, illinois, midway between chicago and st. louis.and adding h2 tended to make life shaping decisions, i had to choose between being a cubs fan and a cardinals fan. all of my friends became cardinal fans and grew up cheerful and liberal. [laughter] i became a gloomy conservative. but not, i stress, gloomy about the long-term prospects of the american republic or the role of religion in it. the second peculiarity is this. america just had a presidential election. its 57th. in which the ticket of one of the major parties did not contain a protestant. this is an event without precedent, and is especially interesting because the ticket, a mormon at a catholic, was put forward by party that is a current choice of a majority of america's evangelical protestants. clearly, regarding religion, the times they are a changing. but then, when are they not in this relentlessly forward looking and forward leaning nation? a third peculiarity is that i am part of this interesting change. i am a member of a cohort that the pew survey calls than none. t
