flying around up there around champlain. there will be some towns north and west of worcester that will drop into the 20s. but that won't be the coldest night. through the day tomorrow we have pretty good looking day. a couple of clouds. no real threat of cold air coming in for thursday. temperatures in the 50s. the reason for the cold air will be this. another cold front coming our way. more showers and drying out as this front is where the sun comes out and it starts to chill out and gets windy too. the coldest part will start friday afternoon and temperatures will be dropping through the evening into the 20s on average. saturday morning the sun rebounds us into the 40s and feels colder with the wind and here is a look at weekend always in view. rebounding into the 50s and stadium for sunday night. stick around. >>> 60 degrees at logan today but they've pulled out all of the winter removal equipment to show they are ready for the snow. logans recognized as having one of the top snow response programs in the country. >> we

macarthur was involved in several battles during the summer of 1918 in the champlain region. and the argonne offensive in 1918. this is probably late fall judging by the weather. you notice most of the men are marching forward. you notice this officer here standing with binoculars. that is general macarthur. he adopted a distinct look. he realized that as a chief of staff, he had a good staff and he realized that to keep up his men's morale and help them cope , he had to be there for a quick battlefield decision, he had to be up front. in order for his men to realize -- the boss is here -- he decided to dress distinctly. there is nothing unusual about that. george patton wore a distinctive look in world war ii that was made famous. there are many other generals that cut distinctive figures so that their men knew here is the boss. there is one officer in the american army in france that dresses like this. if you see someone like this, it is general macarthur. you notice he is not wearing a gas mask. he was gassed twice in the war. he also issued orders that if anyone followed

richard montgomery goes and he actually has some seenlgs along lake champlain and up through montreal but meets benedict arnold at quebec city. i'm not going to give everything away in the book but the battle is epic. they fight during a blizzard on new year's eve, 1775. up to this point, the walled city of quebec has never been breached. in the french and indian war the way the british won it from the french, the french were safe in their city. the way the british won it, they finally goaded french commander to come out of his fortress onto the field in front of it and that's where the english beat the french and took the city. if the french would have stayed in the city, it would have still been french. so benedict arnold thinks they can do it. the ultimate result, though, of the campaign in canada is that it is successful in that it keeps british pinned up in canada long enough for general washington to force the british evacuation of boston. meanwhile, the key thing here is that the guns that they needed were in fort tikonderoga. nobody had taken the guns to the boston area. colon
