now in the chandra. -- emma chandra. emma: it is trading negotiations impacting the investors today. red across the screen, all u.s. equities tumbling. take a look at the dow jones, s&p 500 and russell 2000, all off by more than 1%. the nasdaq is down 1.8%. and the culprit is trade. that is the subject we are hearing in the talks between the two sides, u.s. and china, they are still far apart and investors are not liking that. europe setting the tone this morning when forecasts came in signaling a slowdown in their economy. it is not just china that they need to be worried about. and take a look at the bloomberg, we have a nice chart showing the major indexes are in danger of having a negative week. you can see that at the bottom, this is the weekly performance of the dow, s&p 500 and the nasdaq. that would be the first weekly loss for the dow and the nasdaq in some seven weeks. and as well as macro issues, we have corporate earnings impacting the stocks. take a look at some of the biggest earnings losers today. tapestry
