we haven't heard anything from chapel hill carrboro schools. that means as of now, school is on track and on time for tomorrow. now one of the biggest problems that we actually saw today when we were out and about is that people were having trouble navigating sidewalks. many neighborhood sidewalks have not been touched so far and unc chapel hill students walking to class had a hard time getting through slick paths. some people were walking in the road when they could. but even then they had to hurdle over the mounds of snow on the side of the road. i spoke to one woman from chapel hill ridge fallly from pittsburgh. she says weather events around here are handled much differently. >> that would be gone two days they have the equipment and the know how and the plans. we don't get enough snow down here to know how to do it officially but i think after this many days its should be gone. >> today's weather helped melt a lot of snow and ice. but sidewalks will continue to be a problem. probably tomorrow. after that shay should be clearing up. there a
