missouri state senator maria chappelle-nadal is tweeting about last night's round of violence. she says, it is my belief that ron johnson was used as a pawn to cover up governor jay nixon's failure. last night may have been a set-up. please obama. she joins us now for more live from ferguson. great to see you, ma'am. there is so much in that last tweet that you put out there. what do you mean that ron johnson, the captain, was used as a pawn? >> well, let me tell you, i have been a victim to political politics for a very long time. and what i have experienced myself is that people will create perceptions that are really not reality. and the whole intent behind creating perceptions is to seem as though you are the person who's winning an argument but in reality you are actually losing. so from the very beginning, we know that governor nixon has been completely absent from the minority community. and when he was at the state fair and all of a sudden decided after three days of being teargassed, two of those days i was teargassed myself, he decided to leave the state fair and say,

i want to bring in on the phone, about have a state senator, marie chappelle nadal on the phone with us. what can you tell us about what you know in terms of what has transpired on the streets of ferguson? a lot of people want answers as to why this escalate sod quickly, what can you tell us? >> here's what i can tell you. the people who i was with this evening, i left literally ten minutes pra s prior to seeing ts on television. as we were leaving the corner of canfield and west foreson, we heard about five to six shots. in the car we all ducked down, the three of us. and we were definitely nervous. not a little bit nervous, definitely nervous. we decided to reroute the direction we were going to go. consequently, there's a lot of traffic. and as we were leaving going south on west foreson, what i noticed first, it was only not even a minute after we heard the gunshots. we didn't didn't see any of the police officers that had been on both sides of west foreson going east and west. and so i knew something was going on, something was up. so the only experience that i had were the five

i'm joined by missouri state senator maria chappelle nadil, thanks so much, senator.ou said to me earlier that you thought that there were a lot of lovely moments at the funeral, but in some cases you thought it was a missed opportunity. what do you mean? >> absolutely. what i mean is that you know, michael brown's death means so much to so many people. and what i have stated before, a lot of young people have felt intimidation. they have felt the pain and anger associated with harassment by officials, sometimes of which those are police officers. and so the greatert message i think, the greater opportunity is that we could have talked about young people having an opportunity to fight for their rights. this entire discourse for the last 16 days, the first amendment right has been taken away from numbers of young people. and there's been excruciating violence. >> how do you think had their right of free assembly or free speech has been taken awayle? how so? >> i was with them when their first amendment right was taken away from them and myself. we were sitting peaceful

>> here to drill down on what's next for this community, missouri state senator maria chappell nade al. senator, you've been really active and really angry, to be frank, on the ground over the past week. will police considering michael brown the primary suspect in a potential crime worsen that anger? >> you know, i have to tell you, ronan, this community really needs to know what the facts are. whatever happened at the qt that we're at right now is separate from what happened in the interaction with the police officer and mike brown. what we need to know is what exactly happened? no one elected darren wilson as the judge, jury and executioner. there are protocols that you have to follow. a taser gone could have been used instead of a real gun when dealing with mike brown. whether he committed a theft or not. what's really important to this community is that we get the facts between the time that's michael brown and the officer engaged and when michael brown was killed. those are the facts that this community is concerned about right now. >> reverend, what about the revelation of this o

bill chappell joins us now. bill, you have a bye on both these stocks. do you think this is better for? >> it is better for monster. from the size and scale and what it does in the near-term. it really transforms the market. it transforms their profitability overseas. it validates their market in the u.s. by having coke make this investment and invest behind the energy drink category for the long-term. i think they are the big winner. coke will see a lot of benefits over the next few years. problems of lot of its own. people are drinking less soft drinks. it seems that what kind of desperation can learn about this from coke? >> maybe you can look at it the other way. if coke was fully desperate, if they really need something, they probably would have bought the whole thing. billion acquisition price, they can do that. it shows that they want a put option, they see the energy market is here to stay in the u.s. for a long period of time. ,aving a strong partnership they are also getting rid of thatof the energy brands have not been growing overseas and mar
