charles clifford is live in the newsroom. he has more on what sparked it all. charles? >> reporter: today the national forest service said it was a hunter who started the rim fire back on august 17th. investigators believe that hunter set an illegal campfire in this area to the west of yosemite national park, near the town of groveland. within hours the fire had grown out of control. this is an animation of how the wildfire has spread since then, expanding out in all directions and eventually reaching into yosemite. the forest service also said today that they do not think the fire was started by an illegal marijuana grow. no arrests have been made.and the hunter's identity is not being made public while the investigation continues. although containment is at 80 percent, firefighters say they probably wont have full control of this fire until september 20th. in the newsroom, charles clifford kron 4 news >> some new, really compelling pictures are emerging today from crews who have been battling the rim fire from the air. these picture come to us from the california air
