into the life and work of charles dickens have been acquired by a london museum dedicated to the writer. the material includes unpublished letters, sketches, books and personal objects. experts at the dickens museum say they can't wait to share some of the treasure trove with visitors. 0ur arts correspondent brenda emmanus reports. it was at his home in bloomsbury, london, now the charles dickens museum, the seller to achieved national fame as one of the world's great storytellers. today the venue has more to celebrate than his birthday. having acquired a substantial collection of and original material. over 300 unpublished letters, personal objects, portraits and books. the museum's acquisition from a personal collection in america gives a new insight into the life and work of charles dickens. from his personal and business relationships to his state of mind while writing his novels. of these items almost all of them have been in private hands for many years. some have never been seen.
