once he arrives he will be sworn in to previside over the proceedings by charles grassley. once he's sworn in then all 100 senators will be sworn in as well. once that point occur, pretty much closes the back on any senator clout tthroughout the cf this process. they will be required to be in their seat, no electronics, no reading material outside of the scope of the trial for every hour they are sit ting in the senate chairmamber. the real meat and bones will begin on tuesday. that's when the senate will debate and vote on the initial resolution playi inglaying out d rules. for 24 hour, the house managers will be able to present their case. shoil it should take three or four days. the president's defense team will take to the floor. they will present their case for an equal amount of time. 24 hours spread over a couple of days. after that is completed, united states senators, all 100 will have the opportunity to ask either sides questions that they have based on those presentations. they will get 16 hours for that proce process. it's at that point that the biggest question
