charles hodson, futures are up.ll you there is a lot of hope that at some point here they've got to figure out the eu mess and really be clear about how they will fix europe's debt problem, charles. >> i think you're right. you've hit the nail on the head. this is the absolute major question. really all the way around the world. as you said we've got some reasonably good news out of the real economy in the united states over the weekend and might get more in terms of the jobs market. but basically those are side issues compared to this issue of where is this european debt crisis going? in particular, european leaders, are they going to be able to get on top of it because they've been slow in getting ahead of it. it seems to have overtaken them making what feels like belated efforts to get ahead of it. talking about some progress made behind the scenes, even speculation 30% of european sovereign bonds could be underwritten in effect by governments but we really need to see exactly what is going to happen. meanwhile,
