as for the charles rangel race, this was, as you said, a rematch . back in 2012, rangel barely defeated adriano espaillat, a state senator, by just by about 1000 votes. it was a very bitterly fought campaign. there were a lot of charges of voter suppression in the latino community and many staff as an accounting of the votes. so not two years later, adriano ,spaillat challenged him again attempted from the left with the democratic party come accusing charles rangel of being in the grip of a lot of the banking interests in the city. and then again it was a close vote once again with just 1800 votes separating the two men with a lot bigger voter for dissipation this time around -- participation this time around. rangel prevailed once again. the lion of harlem, even though his district is now largely a latino district, majority latino population, and he got most of his support -- the popular support from the black community while adriano espaillat clearly gothic support in the latino community and won a majority of the white vote, but rangel was able to
