the national journal i want to thank david bradley, john sullivan, who i don't think could be here today, charlie greene and my former editor, charles, now that the "washington post" where he's doing terrific work. patrick really was sort of just a partner with me for five years in reporting so many of these stories and was a constant companion and advocate so thank you. now my new home at washingtonian and my very dear friend and now my boss who has charted an ambitious course for the publication and a year ago asked me if i would like to come over and write a good magazine stories and have that be my full-time job and i said that's a great, i'm glad that job still exists.
