. >> christians of all backgrounds are honoring the life and ministry of charles w. colson. the prison fellowship founder died at the age of 80. he reached out to prisoners and his families. he called on christians to defend the faith and engage the cultu culture. charlene israel has a look at his life. >> chuck colson was born in massachusetts in 1931. he was a child of the great depression. >> it was tough. i got used to being poor. i never knew we were poor because it was the way we lived. my dad went to school at night. working hard at a job making $32 a week. we would share with people on the block who didn't have has much as we had. >> colson went on to graduate from brown university and earned a law degree from george washington university. he served as a captain in the united states marine corp. and landed a job at the white house in the nixon administration. his promising career took an ominous turn. he was caught up in the water gate scandal as president nix nixon's hatchetman. he after that became a christian after reading c.s. lewis. boston globe reported if mr.
