charleston took a tough hit today. thankfully, many people here on the streets of charleston said they feel like they dodged a bullet, they have seen were storms here like irma in 2017. we got a chance to get up and look at some of the damage from today's storm. a pretty dangerous situation. a little further up the coastline, those areas even harder hit, myrtle beach, that' what we got one of the peers in one of the hardest hit communities about them hour in half north of your. 4 miles long, this barrier island on the coast absolutely inundated with water into homes and into businesses. they lost their peer there as well. of very scary situation the fir department actually managing to bring people to safety. they will work on getting that island reopened tomorrow. there is a rainbow after the storm the police department tweeting out that picture to le everyone know that is how the situation ended. tomorrow we will get a better idea of how bad the damage was up and down the south carolina coast. molly, many thanks for t
