for those who don't really know about jesse, jesse was born in charlestown in 1859. he was a local boy, if you will. he was born with a slight defect in his right eye just his eye looked really white, and because of that people made fun of him quite a bit. his family, his school mates. he was abused because he looked a little bit different. and he really got beat up for that. he really got abused at school. children who were much older than him and much bigger than him, really made him pay dearly for that, and his own father believed that maybe he was possessed. it was a sign of the devil, something terrible within him. and his father really abused him terribly. so he grew up knowing quite a lot of pain, and in terms, the only way he could control that he started abusing children who were much younger and much smaller than he was. people didn't know that it was actually him doing that early on. they found out in the 18 -- in 1871 when children across the cincinnati chelsea started sort of suffering and talking about someone, a young boy who would befriend them and ta

in 1702, in the fall, the english came down from charlestown, south carolina and attacked saint augustine and by the second day, the spanish decided to abandon the city. the guns upstairs provide a covering fire for the bastions so that the people of town can make their way to the fortress. this is one of the guns doing that. this barrel is of note because during the second day of the siege this gun exploded. through the front end of the gun off the top of the fort and buried it with enough force so as not found until the 1960's when they were putting a new water main in. to use an example of how much force there is involved in these cannons firing, this 18-pounder had served the fort for number of years before but they forgot to keep track of how many shots had been fired. they had to keep track of how many shots the iron guns are because iron guns only have a lifespan of about 12 or 1300 shots. beyond that, too much damage have been done to the interior of the gun so that it would shatter. for me, this gun is important because in the 1702 siege, there are four spanish soldiers killed in

let's move to the north and show you the heavier rain coming into the frederick county area around charlestown right now and towards portions of northern loudon county and back towards martinsburg so we'll continue to see this rain this area of rain come right on through about the 1:00 2:00 hour and then we've got a little bit of a break but then notice what's back towards the cincinnati area. we're looking at some more shower activity making its way on towards our region. not done yet. tomorrow we will see some showers an let's show you on future weather. here's 8:00 a.m. notice not much going on a few showers could even impact the 95 corridor. again, i'm not anticipating too many problems as far as weather is concerned tomorrow morning. then around 1:00 we break out more sunny with get, the warmer we get -- the more warmth we get and the more sun and better chance for some thunderstorms. showers developing back to the west. watch what happens around 4:00 a line of showers and even a couple of thunderstorms develop. not talking anything strong here but you may see a heavy downpour come throug
