charlie d'agata joins us with the latest on this case. >> reporter: good morning to you, betty. now, i just returned from the courtroom where a very calm naomi campbell changed the story she's now lng denied, now she admits receiving blood diamonds some 13 years ago. supermodel anyway ommy campbell a war crimes court at the hague she did receive diamonds during a trip to south africa. she said they were a few stones, a few small dirty looking stones. she said she didn't know who the diamonds were from but actress mia farrow told her that i must have come from former war lord charles taylor. her testimony can help convict taylor of war crimes. he's accused of receiving diamonds from rebels in sierra leone. he allegedly sent campbell a diamond after a dinner party in south africa. actress mia farrow says campbell told her about it the very next day. mia farrow herself is expected to testify here at the hague next week and the actress says she's confident her version of events is accurate. in her words, you don't forget when a girlfriend tells you she was gwynn a huge diamond in th

charlie d'agata shows us how a long-time spanish tradition quickly turned into a nightmare. >> reporter: the 1100-pound bull was supposed to chase young people around the arena but when he had had enough, he hurtled a security fence and plowed into the crowd at a bull ring in northern spain. terrified spectators screamed and scrambled for their lives, but some weren't lucky enough to get out of its path. the bull fell onto a 10-year- old boy, who is now in intensive care. one man was gored from behind. 38 others were injured. bull ring runners finally tied a rope around the bull to bring it under control. later, a crane took the animal away and it was killed. the debate over whether bullfighting should be banned is picking up steam in spain, a furious argument that pits animal rights against age-old traditions. catalonia became the first region to outlaw the sport last month. it's very rare for a bull to leap out of the arena and into the stands like this. official said the bull was about to be removed because it was underperforming. charlie d'agata, cbs news, london. charlie d'agata reports on the >>> rescuers in chile are beginning to drill a tunnel to save trappediners. the operation could take months. charlie d'agata reports on the emotional video messages families are getting. >> reporter: this telephone line is getting the trapped miners in chile a chance to speak face to face with families. he says, please excuse the way i look. we are all okay down here. a big hug for christi my daughter. most video messages were upbeat but some miners broke down in tears. he says, i miss you very much. and i know the situation looks difficult, but we're trying to survive down here in our own way. the miners have been trapped half a mile underground for 25 days. they may have to help in their own rescue clearing thousands of tons of rock that will fall as a rescue hole is drilled toward them. the 33 men have received food like cereal, bread and jam. there is nicotine gum for smokers. they have been told to watch their weight. their waist size must be no bigger than 35 inches to fit through the rescue tunnel. nasa is giving advice on how it keeps astronauts

cbs news correspondent charlie d'agata is in the hague this morning with more. charlie, good morning. >> reporter: jeff, after years of denial, naomi campbell came here to the hague and told prosecutors exactly what they wanted to hear, she did receive diamonds, some 13 years ago. naomi campbell this morning told prosecutors, two men came to her hotel room 1997 with a gift. >> i saw a few stones. they were very small, dirty looking stones. >> reporter: those dirty looking stones turned out to be diamonds. prosecutors believed blood diamonds from former liberian warlord charles taylor. the exchange happened after a dinner hosted by nelson mandela. taylor was there so was actress mia farrow and cara white. >> after breakfast i told miss farrow and miss white what had happened and one of the two said well, that's obviously charles taylor. i just said i i guess it was. >> reporter: prosecutors say charles taylor is a war criminal that exchanged diamonds from sierra leone to armed rebels. the diamond fueled conflict was depicked in a twiks movie "blood diamonds." hund
