i'm chief warrant officer charlie morgan. hampshire national guard and i'm finally proud to announce publicly that i'm a lesbian. >> charlie, congratulations. do you remember that september 20th. charlie morgan making history on this show in september on the day that don't ask don't tell was officiallily repealed. it may be history, but the fight for equality is far from over for lgbt military members. charlie morgan joined seven other current and former service members in a lawsuit against the u.s. government over the constitutionality of the defense of marriage act. now, the act prevents the u.s. military from row vieding medical and survivor benefits to service members, same sex partners. charlie described one of her worst fears at a news conference. take a listen. >> i'm a breast cancer survivor and was recently diagnosed with a recurrence. what i worry about most of all is that my health will take a turn for the worse and karen will not be eligible to receive the survivor benefits to which she is entitled to to help care
