for winchester, la ray, down toward charlottesville and off to the west. we've even had a handful of severe thunderstorm warnings with an elevated risk where the storms have been producing high winds. as far as what's going on right now a little closer inspection for you. fauquier county down through culpepper moderate to heavy rain. anywhere from a quick 0.1 to 0.25 inch of rain in that one cell in fauquier county moving east-southeast toward areas of brentsville in the next 48 and 56 minutes and into erly within the next three minutes potentially producing very heavy rain. we've seen a lot of lightning, reports of one-inch hail in west virginia and even gusts of 40 miles per hour which some of these individual cells. just showers south and east of kettering moving through prince george's county toward diehl and sunderland right now. boy oh, boy a big range in temperatures. up to the north where that rain has been 61 in frederick, maryland. 80 degrees down south in fredericksburg, virginia. huge range. everybody is going to be i think cooling off, though,

flash flood watches out for harrssonburg and stanton and charlottesville, auto part of a larger more dynamic weather system. severe thunderstorm watch until 10:00, just south of la ray, really from harrssonburg through the southern end of the shenandoah and roanoke valleys. and big severe weather down just to the east of roanoke. a big thunderstorm going just to the south sides of lynchburg, generating 2 to 3-inch diameter hail. so big down to our southwest. we're stuck around here with the drizzle. but the timing on this is going to ride these showers and thunderstorms up to the neck of the schehenandoah valley over t next two or three hours and then might get a couple rumbles in here late this evening. for your evening, cloudy, mild, stronger thunderstorms in the shenandoah valley, not much of a severe threat in washington, thanks to the cool, marine layer we have outside. then tomorrow, mostly cloudy, scattered showers, one or two rumbles tomorrow. but a 71-degree day in march. we can't complain too much about that. it will not be a washout, but there will be off and on rain chanc

incredible snow amounts in a small area from around charlottesville. i-95 is just wet from charlottesville across parts of albemarle and orange counties, we got anywhere from 6 to as much as 10 inches of snow. even spotsylvania i have some reports of 5 inches. in the purple areas, these are our winter weather advisories for another hour or so across charles and st. mary's counties. we're watching the snow south of town. this is similar to a few winters ago when we had 2 inches of snow and around march 2 or so, we picked up 5 and a half. well, this was the same type of setup except it missed us by about 50 miles. southern fauquier toward culpeper starting to shut down. maybe one or two hours of snow left for southern maryland. the dark blue extending from spotsylvania and thurnburg, you can see a little enhance -- thornburg, you can see a little enhancement. that's a pretty good snow band. the difference in southern maryland, it's a bit milder. you may pick up an inch or two on the grassy surfaces. thankfully we're above freezing almost everywhere with
