look at la plata, 80 degrees, too and look at fredericksburg, virginia, good afternoon to you, folks. 84 degrees right now, 82 in charlottesville. so, plenty warm all the way down through virginia and south of d.c., as i open it up, you can see not a cloud to be found in the sky, but tomorrow, different story. tomorrow, more clouds, and even the possibility of seeing a shower or thunderstorm across the area. so, we are talking about warmth for the evening, overnight period, 71 degrees at 7:00, sun sets at 7:15. the clear, starry sky. something glowing in the night sky, more on that that minute. midnight to 1:30, wall what nasa is going to be doing. beautiful evening though, we will continue with that southwest flow, warm conditions, sunshine across the area, here is where the showers and storms will be popping tomorrow. toll west i-81, right over the mountains, getting that lift, down across southern maryland, southern virginia, then we go quiet. then for friday afternoon, once again, a chance, a better chance, the best chance of seeing rain all week long, that is going to allow us to cool down a little bit by the weekend. so,

virginia. 20-degree temperature range almost. and again it has been plenty wet up here. the pink is the severe thunderstorm watch that goes until 9:00 p.m. for winchester, la ray, charlottesville and areas back to the west that includes kentucky. it's right along this weather front, this cold front that a lot of storms have been firing mainly west virginia, kentucky, and there have been reports of some inch-sized hail coming out of west virginia. closer inspection here you can see moderate rain just south of d.c. moderate rain, too, around hartwood sliding toward fredericksburg so you can get a quick 0.1 to 0.25 inch of rain. the other thing with this system we could see not only hail but we could see the winds increase up to 40 miles per hour. already those winds have been up to 35-mile-per-hour gusts in charleston, west virginia. 36 in roanoke. 32 in state college. even though the winds will settle some tonight it's still going to be breezy as we go into the day tomorrow. right now there is a look at the weather front coming through the area. by the time we get to tomorrow we'll be well on the other side of this front, getting the sunshine in here. partly sunny skies. but ag

charlottesville, you'll pick up rain in through petersburg and west virginia, maybe strong storms hereothing compared to what is coming our way this weekend. take a look at some video out of texas. this storm is the same storm i showed you yesterday that brought 4 feet of snow to arizona. this bringing a ton of rain to dallas. some very beneficial rain. they need the rain but don't want to see it all at once. fortunately there were not too many problems but we did see some flooding. we also saw a tornado around san antonio that did destroy about 50 homes, so this did cause some big impacts into that region. as far as our weather is concerned right now, once again, no shower activity here, but just off to the south and east watch how charlottesville, these two storms will make their way to the south and east the next half hour to hour or so. continued warm. we'll continue with our chance of showers tomorrow but only about a 30% chance tomorrow and on thursday. so when you can expect rain is this weekend. mostly cloudy, mild, humid, 62 to 67 degrees. as we make our way through the next c
