they are getting a respite but this area from i would say the tennessee river valley, chattanooga to huntsville in to new orleans and southeast texas, this area could get another one to three inches of rain today. we have a tropical connection down here. our winds in the upper levels of the atmosphere have shifted off the gulf of mexico. that's pushing all of the rain up this side of the 57lations. a warmer humid air mass and it is on top of us. so we can feel the humidity. we don't have any triggers in the atmosphere to dump the rain on us. that's a good thing. we are getting by with a humid sky but not necessarily the torrential rain. good job today pinpointing the rain across the eastern side of virginia. that's the target, taking it in to delmarva, later today northern neck. as we show you the forecast, throughout the day today, mostly cloudy and in to tomorrow, again, clouds around. a stray shower is possible. but toward the end of this time period look at what happens as we head in to friday. this clearing line comes down from the north. that's the trend for the friday forecast
